The basis of the plan is a newly designed dune relief with peaks of up to 30 meters. The boulevard along the beach forms the connection between houses, the dunes and the recreational facilities.
It is made of a wooden deck that runs along the dunes. The beach is accessed via the boulevard. Each end of the boulevard is marked by striking buildings. On one side stands an apartment complex with large terraces and on the other is the de Nieuwe Waterweg Hotel, located on top of a dune with a view of the river. Homes are integrated in the dunes behind the boulevard. The area will remain open to vacationers, who can walk through the dunes to the beach or the boulevard.
