De Rijtse Vennen is a new neighbourhood of over 300 homes. The planning principles were durability, safety, quality of life and identity. Vista’s plan for the public space fits in with these. 

The plan incorporates an abundance of greenery, natural materials, wide sidewalks and ample meeting places. Traffic-related solutions and the design of parking facilities and property boundaries are fully integrated into the design according to the principles of Shared Space. The total public space is designed as an attractive lounge, where the road user is a guest.
